The Malaysian AIDS Foundation (MAF) Red Ribbon Gala 2026 is a flagship platform for mobilising corporate and philanthropic support to sustain Malaysia’s HIV response.
Building on more than three decades of partnership with the Ministry of Health, civil society, healthcare institutions and the private sector, MAF seeks to translate corporate commitment into meaningful social impact.
Malaysia has made significant progress in HIV prevention and treatment, including major reductions in new infections and the elimination of mother-to-child transmission of HIV and syphilis. However, people living with HIV continue to face poverty, stigma, social exclusion and other barriers that affect access to care and quality of life.

One of Malaysia's Most Established Philanthropic Platforms
The Red Ribbon Gala is MAF’s signature fundraising event and one of Malaysia’s most established philanthropic platforms in support of HIV/AIDS-related care, prevention and advocacy.
Over the years, the Gala has brought together leaders from government, business, healthcare, civil society, media and philanthropy to support programmes that directly benefit people living with HIV and communities most affected by the epidemic — including treatment access, community-based prevention, shelter homes, care services, public awareness and advocacy efforts.
For 2026, the Gala will be presented as an exclusive and high-impact fundraising dinner that highlights an urgent next step in Malaysia’s HIV response: moving beyond treatment access alone to address the social realities faced by vulnerable people living with HIV who have nowhere safe to go.

Expanding community-based education, prevention, testing and early linkage to treatment, particularly for populations that may face barriers to conventional healthcare services.
U=U
Undetectable = Untransmittable
Strengthening public understanding that a person living with HIV who is on effective treatment and maintains an undetectable viral load does not sexually transmit HIV. Greater awareness of U=U can encourage testing and treatment adherence while reducing fear, misinformation and stigma.

Treatment, Care & Medical Assistance
Providing essential medical and treatment-related assistance to vulnerable people living with HIV and those who require additional support to remain healthy and engaged in care.
Families, Women & Children
Support for Vulnerable Families, Women & Children
Assisting households affected by HIV, including single mothers, children and families facing financial hardship, so that socio-economic circumstances do not become a barrier to healthcare and essential support.
Community Care
Community Care & Psychosocial Support
Providing counselling, peer support, treatment navigation and other community-based interventions that help people living with HIV remain connected to care and maintain their quality of life.
The Gala also offers companies a tangible avenue to advance ESG and SDG commitments through health equity, inclusion, sustainable development and community impact.
